27th Graduation Exercises
SY 2009 - 2010
Messages:
MONA D. VALISNO - DepEd Secretary
We salute the graduating class of 2009 – 2010 of Consolacion National High School – Evening Class.
Our goal in education is to have all children of school-age to be in school, to be educated, for them to discover who they are and what they are able to do. More than anything else, understand that the role of education is to maximize the potential of every single individual. With this, we are determined to keep all our students in the Philippine main Education Highway.
After high school you are presented with various career paths that you can explore – technical-vocational education, college degree programs, and entrepreneurship. Basic education enables you to face more difficult challenges in the coming years and triumph over them. Your success will help inspire others to uphold the value of learning for a productive life.
Keep in mind that with education, we can ensure economic prosperity, individual liberty, justice and self-worth.
Indeed, your education can address your concerns as an individual as it is the solution to our problems as a society and as one nation.
Congratulations to the Class 2010. Mabuhay kayo!

ARDEN D. MONISIT, Ed.D. - Schools Division Superintendent, Division of Cebu Province
On behalf of the Department of Education and in my capacity as Schools Division Superintendent of Cebu Province Division, let me extend my heartfelt felicitations to all the Elementary and Secondary graduates of School Year 2009 – 2010, on this very important milestone of their lives – GRADUATION !
Graduation is a time of celebration for a completion and an ending. Being so, it is always thought of with mixed emotions. The feeling is a concoction of happiness, gratitude and nostalgic. Pupils and students who graduate cannot help but feel happy with the thought that they have finally culminated the school life successfully. Graduates never fall to be grateful to the winds beneath their wings – their parents, guardians, benefactors, teachers, friends and all those who have worked and sacrificed together to make an important dream come true. Amidst these feelings of happiness and gratitude is the nostalgic feeling of graduates as they have to bid adieu to their teachers, their friends and their Alma Mater.
Dear graduates, as you receive your Diploma and in the midst of your celebration for your triumph and success, always remember that one does not stop learning with graduation. For as long as one continues to live, one continues to learn The education you earn is your companion which no misfortune can destroy, no crime can destroy and no enemy can alienate. The years you have spent in school have strengthened you with learning and values that will help make your lives better, in the hope that through education, you will be assets, rather than liabilities in your respective families and communities. As you open a new chapter in your life, be reminded that success is never an accident. It is always a result of sincere intentions, efforts, wise decisions, skillful execution of plans and the ability to see obstacles and problems as opportunities for personal growth and development. The best testimony for success in education is a marked change in one’s life – that from good, to better, to best. After all, the ultimate goal of EDUCATION is to CHANGE LIVES!
As the school year ends, this Office takes the opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who have made 2009 – 2010 a significant school year. The successful implementation of the various programs and projects of this division could not have been made possible were it not for the outstanding support of the Provincial Government, the Local Government Units, the PTAs, the well meaning GOs, NGOs and private citizens and all those who have generously shared for the education of the young in the Province of Cebu. This Office also commends the Elementary and Secondary school teachers and School Heads of this Division, who have painstakingly exerted efforts in the accomplishment of the noble task of molding the lives of the pupils and students – against all odds. Thank you very much. Hand in hand, we made it.
As the curtain of the school year falls, let us pause to praise and thank God for all the graces and blessings, allowing us to succeed in our endeavor to educate. Together, let us look forward with brighter perspective for another scene that will soon open.
Once again, my sincere congratulations to all the graduates! Good luck and God bless you. May He make your dream come true.

ELISA M. ESCUTIN - Principal II, Consolacion NHS-Evening Class
Dear Graduates, my congratulations to all of you on this momentous occasion. The sacrifices of your parents have not been in vain because their efforts enabled you to earn an education that would help you to further pursue your youthful ambitions. However, let me remind you that you will be embarking on a more difficult and challenging tasks. Like any other nation, our country is now suffering from the impacts of a global economic crisis. There are parents who have lost their jobs and are now facing the bleak prospect of not being able to send their children to college. But do not allow this to dismay you. Always bear in mind that “behind the clouds the sun is still shining”. There is always hope if you have faith in God.
However, in this difficult time your ability to achieve this objective depends on your dedication, perseverance, discipline and a stronger faith in the Almighty Lord.
Your teachers have done so much but the most difficult task of achieving your ambitions depends largely on you. Remember, you could make your contribution to the society by being a productive citizen in whatever endeavor you find yourself in. In this difficult time, you should be practical and not aspire for something which is beyond your capability. There are small things that you could do for the betterment of your community. Rather than embarking in some grandiose tasks that would later fail because of difficulties, try looking around you and try to see what you can do rather than sit in the corner and ponder your future because you do not have the means to pursue your ambition.
Young graduates, go out and walk thru life's garden. Then try to fit in whatever task you may find yourself in order to be productive citizens. Big or small, your contributions will count for as long as you believe in yourselves, and that you feel you have done your best and have been sincere in your efforts. Good luck and God bless you all.

Graduation maybe the happiest moment a student could ever dream of. It is the culmination of a long and oftentimes difficult journey to make one self better prepared to meet the challenges of adulthood.
But, more than an achievement for the graduate, it is actually a testament to the sacrifices your parents and family have made in order for you to reach this far. It is likewise an affirmation of the great role our teachers have played in molding you to become responsible and productive members of the community. Lastly, it is a time to thank the Lord God for the blessings and guidance all these years.
As another chapter opens to your life story, welcome it with joy, as I am sure you could be… what you want to be.
Congratulations and good luck!

My dear graduates, parents and teachers,
Graduation is both a time for reflection, a time for goodbyes, for memories recalled and for a bright new world – waiting – there . . . yours for the taking!
As we celebrate this milestones in your young lives, let us celebrate this moment with grateful hearts. Your graduation today is your contribution to the future – from the seeds that you hold now, will spring bright citizens of our country that will help sustain and make the difference. You will be taking different highways from the little road, you will explore the wide skies from the runway as you take off, you will reach distant shore as you leave this harbor of our school as proud graduates ready to help build the future for the generations to come.
But, let us not forget that man’s journey is full of trials, there will be no achievement without actions and there will be no blessing without faith. Faith, not just to Almighty Father but also to ourselves and to our guides. Each step we take draws us closer to our dreams, and it is upon us to make the best of these opportunities that life presents and it is upon our discretion to choose on which path to take. As we continue in this endeavor, let us not forget to thank the Lord for His gifts, to our teachers for their guidance, our classmates for the camaraderie and most important, to our beloved parents for their support.
In these words, I would like to convey my best wishes as you take upon another step in this journey we call life, and let me impose this challenge to every one of you, be good shepherds of man – that each one of us should contribute to the well being of our community and to our country. Let us not regret the road we take afterwards but make best of the chance given.
Congratulations to the Class of 2010 !

To the 2010 Graduates of Consolacion National High School – Evening Class:
Please allow me to congratulate the happy graduates, the proud parents and the diligent and indefatigable teachers on the occasion of this year’s graduation ceremony.
Indeed, our graduates have many good reasons to be happy because they have hurdled another step in their journey to success. There are reasons for the parents to be proud of their graduating children as their personal sacrifices and untold sufferings have never gone to naught. The diligence and patience of our teachers can only be truly compensated by the success and honors their students have achieved in school.
However that achievement alone is not enough because of the present complexities and the ever-increasing competition in the global market opportunities which demands for college graduates in the business, commercial and industrial sectors of employment.
During these tough and challenging times, I would like to advise our graduates to pursue a college education or enroll in a vocational / technical course so that you can easily find a job that guarantees a sure employment opportunity due to the technical skills and special discipline one may acquire from enrolling in these vocational and technical courses.
In the midst of the present global economic crisis, I am still confident that God will always supply and provide us with our needs and keep us safe in His loving care and divine protection.
To reiterate, Congratulations and Godspeed!

Valedictory Address:
Ruby Theresa D. Anino - Valedictorian, SY 2009 - 2010
To our dynamic Schools Division Superintendent Arden D. Monisit ,our assertive and supportive mayor Hon. Avelino J. Gungob, Sr. to our very energetic principal Madame Elisa M. Escutin, the efficient faculty members, loving parents and friends, fellow graduates, a pleasant afternoon to all! I feel privileged to speak to you on this very momentous occasion. First, let's give praise to our almighty God for this blissful day as we celebrate this another phase of our lives, our graduation! (Thanks Bro!)
Also, on a personal note, I would like to honor my parents, and brothers in the audience who supported and encouraged me for without them this would not have been possible. (Thanks mang, pang , mga kuya)
Our theme “Education: changing lives “is really relevant to the present status of our country. We are in the midst of global economic crisis! And Yes! Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world…our lives. It is essential to development and is the key in reducing poverty.
It is certain that we, the youth, are the fair hopes of our country. We can make a difference. So, please, let's take it as a challenge that despite of everything, we must still crave for that “change” that we could hope for and be joyful about. A “change” that we could open our minds and clear our hearts from anxieties and dilemmas. A 'change' that we could point at a better, brighter, and progressive facet of our nation through education. Fellow seniors, congratulations, that we have accomplished our four years of journey that cannot be measured only by our grades nor by the diplomas we have received. In addition to our quality education we've also received an education in life thru our association with each other. Solid, irreplaceable friendships with our barkadas and yes even to our teachers and advisers who have been forged through hard work and devotion but most importantly, pride for a school that we should all be grateful to call our Alma Mater.
And right at this moment, In behalf of the 2010 Graduates of Consolacion National High School -Evening Class, we want to pay tribute to all people that have been part of our journey, in times of success and failures. To our wonderful teachers, advisers and to our ever-supportive principal Madame Escutin. Thank you! Thank you for uncomplainingly teaching us. You are truly the unsung heroes of our country. You have all guided and shaped us. Your roles have been hugely instrumental in molding us youth… the hope for the better facet of our nation. Again thank you ma'am and sir, you will always be in our hearts.
To my classmates and friends, (rock n roll!) I want to express my gratitude for the company and for sharing your moving and motivating stories. Though I'm an exemption, yes! Most of us are working students who independently support their selves financially. Mga ate, kuya, I bow my head to you. My transfer is never been a regret because you made me stronger, more mature and changed my point of view in life. I'm very much thankful for those involvements and memories. Without a doubt, I'll be missing my high school days with you. I cannot say goodbye to all of you whom I have grown to love, for the memories we have made will last a lifetime and never shall we say goodbye to each other. Good luck to each of us and I pray that we will be successful in our own choice of career.
Dear fellow graduates, let us continue our vertical voyage, aim high, set free your goals, not only achieve them but surpassed them. Believe that you have the power to do anything, to achieve everything and to soar beyond to all the expectations but always remember to look back to our Alma Mater, our second home. We are the 2010 graduates of Consolacion NHS- EC strong, intelligent and prepared to tackle the world despite the difficulties in life.
Last but not the least allow me to pay tribute to our supporting parents and guardians. Thank you for your boundless love and sacrifices. You are all part of our success. I wish and pray that God will always give you good health and long lives. (Let's give them a round of applause that they ought to have.)(Ma, Pa, graduate na jud mi! salamat sa tanan)
Thank you and Godspeed!

I wish and pray that God will always give you good health and long lives. (Let's give them a round of applause that they ought to have.)(Ma, Pa, graduate na jud mi! salamat sa tanan)
Thank you and Godspeed!
Salutatory Address:
Vanesa S. Bentoy - Salutatorian, SY 2009 - 2010
God has granted us another beautiful day to cherish. On this day of graduation, I would like to greet everyone who are here in this very special day of ours , a warm welcome to all.
I'm glad we’ve had this time together before we had into adult world. Our long wait is finally over! We’re already here, at our graduation day! Hay! At last, after four years of longing, we are through and made it this far. We can now show the world what we’ve got, of what we have learned. But I this kind of certain feeling, a certain question of mine.
Are our learning’s enough to face and to survive of what the world prepared for us?” Well, only me, only you, can answer this question, at the right time maybe.
Our life for the next few years will depend on how we gonna handle it. Our journey has just begun. The real battle of our existence will be our next assignment. Let us all pray that we shall find whatever we’re looking for. Let we be filled and keep on struggling until we reach the top.
I wish all of us good luck in our futures, whatever they are. I hope we can all take advantage of the opportunities ahead of us, grab life with both hands!
So on behalf of the Consolacion NHS class of 2010, it’s my great honor and pleasure to welcome everyone to this afternoon’s celebration, this celebration of excellence. Why excellence? Well, excellence is having the self-confidence to try, the perseverance to achieve, and the generosity to help fellow students, in other word, EXCELLENCE is being all that Consolacion NHS has taught us.
But before I end this, let me quote a Biblical passage, “ Better is the END, afterwards of that matter that is BEGINNING.”
Thank you.
