THEME: “Building the Nation’s Future Leaders Through the K to 12 Basic Education Program or the K to 12 Basic Education Program - Tungo sa Paghuhubog ng mga Makabagong Lider ng Bansa”
Messages:
Br. ARMIN A. LUISTRO FSC - DepEd Secretary
To our Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, Staff, Administrators and Partners in Education,
Greetings of Peace!
Another school year is coming to a close, signaling a start of a new chapter for most you. You’ll move on to high school, college or vocational school, while some of you may immediately join the workforce. Whichever path that stretchesout before you, you can be sure that it is a fresh one, a renewed one.
We are entering a period in the world’s history in which many in the old systems are being dismantled, gradually being replaced by newer, and hopefully, better ones. Technology, governments, businesses are fast evolving, recognizing that you, the individual, are a significant part of a bigger whole. You matter, and what you do matters.
The Philippines is no stranger to this transforming reality. More than ever, your country recognizes your role in society, government and the economy. And so we are investing heavily on you; putting our hopes in each one of you.
In education alone, we have introduced changes which aim to equip you with more relevant knowledge and skills for the new economy. The K to 12 BasicEducation program is a massive upgrade of lessons, subjects and methods to ensure we are honing your gifts to maximize your potential. You are at the heart of this upgrade. In helping you grow to be the persons you are meant to be, we are helping build the nation’s future.
The fruits of these efforts will take years before they yield fruit, but they will definitely affect, with positive force, all sectors of society. You have the capacity to effect these changes. I pray that you relentlessly seek and build better lives for yourselves and for the larger community around you.
To our parents, teachers, staff and administrators, I thank you for your patience and support as we undergo these radical changes. An investment is not an investment without capital. Your support and sacrifices make up the capital which would bring us to see our children lead and live in a country much transformed by your investment. Thank you!
And to all our partners in education, to our proponents in Congress, local government units, the private sectors and various non-profit organizations, you are well-aware that your generosity in sharing your resources and support will go a long way and return to you hundredfold, in one form or another. Thank you for believing in Filipino youth!
On behalf of the Republic of the Philippines, we congratulate you, our graduates of 2013!
Mabuhay ang Kabataang Pilipino!

Congratulations to you, our dear graduates of Class 2013! Your graduation marks another milestone in your journey through life.
Celebrate your success and share your joy with your family and friends. Take hold of your diploma, which symbolizes the fruit of your studies, and thank God for all the blessings He has showered upon you and for enabling you to enjoy your graduation.
... And now, it's time to look beyond your graduation. Are you ready to face the days ahead of you? What do you want to do with your life after graduation?
Actually, your teachers in school have already equipped you with the knowledge and skills, as well as the desirable values that you need, so that you will be able to move forward and be ready to take on new experiences and fresh challenges.
Look ahead with eagerness and enthusiasm! God has a purpose for your life and there is so much that you can do for yourself and your family, for our country, and most of all for God.
Let me encourage you, then, to give meaning and purpose to your life. Know your goal in life and strive to achieve it. Just do your best and show your best. Bear in mind that the best days of your life are still ahead of you.
In addition, be somebody that your family can be proud of. Be somebody who is a useful and productive citizen of our country. Be somebody who is pleasing before the eyes of God.
Finally, as you leave your alma mater, let me thank and congratulate the school officials, faculty members, and non-teaching staff for touching your lives and contributing to who you are now. Of course, to your parents, I share their joy of seeing you reap the reward of your efforts. I wish them all the best, as they continue to love and support you in your studies.
Above all, my dear graduates, I lift you up to God and ask Him to shower you with His abundant blessings . . . always!

My deepest
greetings and commendation to the dreamers of yesterday, achievers of today and
leaders of the future - the Graduates of School Year 2012-2013!Hard is your labor upon treading the path to your quest for knowledge, yet overwhelming is the end. After the toilsome tasks, your steadfast fortitude has brought nobility to you and pride to your parents and teachers who nurtured you with love and understanding.
With your graduation, you become the bearers of excellence- the new breed of learners whose potentials have been enhanced, achievements recognized and values refined. Your victory is transitory, but boundless opportunities await you who aim high and strive with utmost optimism.
You must always have a strong sense of faith in yourself and on the people who helped, have helped and will help you shape your future. Have faith in God and keep the passion for learning burning. Do something remarkable to make a difference!
Whatever your aspiration brings you and wherever fate leads you to, be God-centered, pro-active and globally-competent citizens of the 21st century.
With the advent of the K to 12 Program, it is envisioned that you and the incoming graduates for the next few years could cope with the academic and technical -vocational enhancement being implemented.
This curriculum revision poses a gigantic challenge to you, graduates of School Year 2012 - 2013. Show to the world that you are fully equipped with the necessary tools to tackle the rigid instruction of higher education, if not to excel in the job market.
It is imperative to keep in mind that your parents, teachers and the Division of Cebu Province expect great things from you.
Congratulations and Godspeed.

Dear Graduates,
My warmest congratulations!
Graduation Day is always sweetest for me, the same way it is for you and your parents. I can hardly contain the overwhelming pride and joy I feel when I see how all of you have metamorphosed into the confident and responsible individuals you have become. I surmise that the school has indeed helped equip you with the competencies to make it through the rat race in the bigger world.
Out there, it isn't always wine and roses or laughter and applause. Most often, you will be faced with humongous challenges and even more so, tough competition. I am well at ease thinking that you have embodied your most important defenses such as adaptability, steadfastness and resilience. I trust that you will always strive to stay on top of the heap and not allow yourselves to be run over or crushed.
Meantime, while you wait in all eagerness for what lies ahead, take a moment to think back and pay your salutation to people who have helped you along the way . . . your peers who have been with you in your struggles and triumphs; your teachers whose inexhaustible effort and patience have helped you acquire knowledge and skills; and most of all, your parents whose nurturing love and provision knows no bounds.
You are destined to succeed! Soar high and never lose sight of your goals. After all, it is your attitude that determines the altitude to which you rise and triumph despite adversities.
Godspeed!

Dear graduates,
Mabuhi !
Today you stand on the threshold of a new adventure. As we look back at our High School days, we feel awe at all that we have managed to accomplish and the valuable lessons we have learned together. The support we enjoyed from our classmates, our faculty, and most importantly, our parents and family, should inspire us to reach for our dreams with the utmost confidence that nothing is impossible with a faithful heart and a sturdy spirit.
The wise man Lao Tzu said that great trees grow from the smallest seeds. We must nurture these seeds and extend the opportunity for each one to reach full potential.
One's graduation day marks the culmination of a student's hard work, a teachers' patience and our parents' sacrifice. It is a great achievement that should be recognized as a legacy we carry with us as we move on to embark on new challenges. And as we go forward, let us bring with us the important lessons of life and a commitment to be the best we can be, not just for ourselves but also for our society.
I congratulate the {Consolacion National High School - Evening Class} Graduating Class of 2013. Your success is hard-earned and well-deserved. My best wishes for a bright future shared with the upliftment of our fellow Cebuanos and the Filipino Nation.
Well done dear graduates !
Daghang Salamat !

MELJAY P. ARCUENO - Valedictorian, SY 2012 - 2013
We are always curious of the perplexity of life, and this has been the reason why we study and try to acquire knowledge to fill up our abounding curiosity. And look where our curiosity took us! Here we are, seated in rows, wearing white and eager to face greater magnitude of challenges as we are about to enter a new phase of our life.
As we look back on the path we have traveled, we can recall the countless times when we felt neglected, frowned and ridiculed. There were also times when our weaknesses and anxiety prevailed and overwhelmed us. But all those struggles we went through are a part of this journey that we call life.
And now, as we face the road ahead, we know that it will still be rough and bumpy. Nevertheless, we are not as scared as we were before, for we have earned enough determination, skills, and wisdom from the classrooms of CNHS-EC that will provide us with the appropriate learning to overcome all of these travails, and ultimately make us strong, confident and courageous as we enter into the real world and all the challenges that come with it.
To you dear Alma Mater, to the School Administrators, members of the faculty and to the rest of compassionate and responsible youth, thank you for all the proper values we shared and acquired as we are about to join the stream of the society and charge into the next millennium.
To our dear parents, we will offer our heartfelt gratitude for all your sacrifices and patience and for supporting our ambitious spirits. Let our dreams be your dreams. Together, let's make our dreams become a reality.
So let our goals be stated here and now, that we must not just stop by merely studying in college or having a degree. Let our success and accomplishment not measured only by having a career and a good job, or a normal and financially stable life. But I urge everyone to look around and be extra- aware. We search for our own peace. But what peace can we achieve without development, especially economic development? If there is such development, can we recognize it with the prevalent poverty right in our midst? Poverty breeds conflict, violence, crimes and most of the social problems. So I summon you , fellow graduates, especially the fortunate and privileged, that in our youth, resolving these social ills be our objectives and their solutions be our mission. Let the knowledge, talents and capabilities that we acquired and those to be acquired become the instrument that we could utilize. My fellow graduates, never stop to make a difference not only for our own lives, but for others and for our country. To this, we seek the guidance of the Divine Providence to hear our prayers that we could be one with the Holy spirit and one in our mission. To this, I say and pray good luck and may God bless us all.
Thank you and congratulations, fellow students!

SANNY J. UNDANG - Salutatorian, SY 2012 - 2013
Kudos to all students and proud parents joining us in this momentous occasion! Today marks an end to an amazing journey in our beloved alma matter. Yet, just like all endings, today’s event will also be the foundation of a new beginning to become valuable individuals in the community.
This commencement exercise encapsulates all the memories in our high school lives. The best time for us to receive the grand price of all our sacrifices, challenges and hardships – our DIPLOMAS. It is the resemblance of our success! The fruit of our parents labor! The inputs of our mentors and the effect of our friends camaraderie.
As such, it is just fitting to give those folks the gift of gratitude. For everything was made possible having them on our backside. To our friends, who makes this journey enjoyable and full of bliss, you will be remembered forever. To our beloved and dedicated teachers who has all the patience and willingness in the world to give us the knowledge we need, eradicate our ignorance and most importantly taught us life lessons, we owe you a lot! And finally to our guardians who provided us all the support we need without any question; be it time, money, effort and love. Forgiveness in all our mistakes, acceptance in all our failures and comfort in all our sorrows. We pledge to strive and give back all that you have given a thousand folds. To all, thank you and we will always love you!
Let’s enjoy, celebrate and have fun! Congratulations to my fellow graduates! Friends, parents, teachers, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our graduation rites 2013. good afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day!
